Gaining Perspective

Gaining Perspective…

When the unexpected happens it can be difficult to keep your composure, it can be difficult not to lose your sense of self control.

When something happens that you didn’t see coming, it can be difficult to find understanding in the circumstances you find yourself in.

When something you can not control happens, it can be difficult not to feel afraid, uncertain, or unclear of what is going to happen.

These are the times when a pause is required.  These are the times when you may need to step back from what is transpiring and take a breath.  These are the times when you may need to give yourself a moment to centre yourself, and gain some perspective.

What can you do in this moment, how can you regain your composure, how can find some meaning in what is transpiring?

You might like to remind yourself how adaptable you are, you might like remind yourself how resilient you are, you might like to remind yourself how much faith you have in you.

You might like to embrace what is transpiring with the knowledge that what is happening is going to give you an awareness you didn’t possess before.

You might like to embrace what is transpiring with the knowledge that what is happening is going to give you more understanding about who you are and how you cope in situations like this.

You might like to embrace what is transpiring with the knowledge that what is happening is going to change you and give you a different perspective on who you are, and the life you are living.

This is something you are experiencing and what you experience will evolve you, you will evolve through this experience.  You can be enriched by this experience, though this may be difficult to reconcile while you are suffering.

Have faith in you, have faith in what you are experiencing, and have faith that you will be ok, like when you have come through experiences in the past.  You will reconcile what is happening as it unfolds, and where it all takes you is up to you.  You can choose to embrace what you are experiencing, and find greater meaning in its occurrence, or you can choose to stay in your suffering.

Choose to grow and evolve through what you are experiencing, choose to embrace your life, and what is possible.

Focus on what you can do, rather than what you can’t.

Focus on what you have, rather than what you have not.

Focus on what you are doing, rather than what others may be doing.

You have an opportunity for greatness here, here in this experience, though it may be uncomfortable, unpredictable, sad or even scary.  Be who you know you are, be the wonderfully resilient, adaptable, unique being you know you are.  And trust what you are experiencing is your unique experience of this experience, and it is evolving you into who you will become from the experience of experiencing this.

I believe in you, you can too.
